Actual Function


Ordinary waterjet: Relies on Venturi negative pressure to draw garnet abrasive into the mixing chamber.


Under low pressure conditions (perforation, thin plate, composite material processing), the original negative pressure will be insufficient, resulting in intermittent abrasive suction, abrasive breakage, perforation failure, and material delamination and edge chipping.


712505-1 Vacuum Assisted Assembly  adds an extra negative pressure suction to the DWJ cutting head:


1. Enhanced Abrasive Suction (Core Function)** In low-pressure piercing and low-speed cutting conditions, it supplements the negative pressure to ensure stable and continuous suction of garnet abrasive into the mixing chamber, preventing abrasive interruption.


Key Scenarios: Drilling composite materials, laminates, fragile sheets, and thin plates. These materials cannot be directly pierced with high pressure, as high pressure will directly crack the workpiece; low-pressure piercing is essential. Without this assembly, low-pressure piercing easily results in scrapped workpieces.


2. Stable Jet, Improved Small Hole Machining Quality** It allows for more uniform mixing of water and abrasive, resulting in better hole roundness, reduced burrs and bursts, and improved yield for small-sized parts.


3. DWJ Cutting Head Dedicated Accessories**


The DWJ (Dynamic WaterJet) cutting head, used to eliminate kerf taper, has a cavity structure with inherently weak venturi suction. It  requires this vacuum auxiliary assembly to stably perform low-pressure piercing.**


Assembly Composition


The complete set = high-pressure resistant rubber vacuum hose + metal connectors and quick-connect interfaces. It's a complete piping assembly, not a single small seal. It's a large functional assembly of the cutting head**. Aging, cracking, or leaking of the tubing will directly cause vacuum suction to fail, requiring complete replacement.


Typical Failure Symptoms After Damage (Encountered by Customers)


1. Low-pressure piercing frequently fails, resulting in board breakage and delamination upon first attempt; high-pressure cutting, however, works normally.


2. Abrasive suction fluctuates, causing intermittent cutting.


3. Aging, cracking, and leaking of the vacuum tube rubber prevent vacuum from being established.


4. A surge in scrap rates when machining small holes and composite materials. > Note: When cutting thick metal plates under high pressure, the venturi itself has sufficient negative pressure, so damage to this set of accessories may not be obvious; **once low-pressure piercing is applied, all problems will immediately become apparent.
